WhatsApp is finally getting this handy chat feature

WhatsApp is certainly working out a characteristic that will let users move their messages and chats between Android and iOS devices. The movement is long-delayed but will benefit users who are contemplating switching from Android to iPhone and iPhone to Android.

WABetaInfo shared the advice on Twitter, recording that it’s not live in the WhatsApp beta still, so it’s not possible for anyone to try it out. But if you need to transfer your chats between the two operating systems, the update will let you do so, even if you’re taking over the corresponding mobile phone number.

Currently, there’s never a way to transfer your chat history between iOS and Android devices without violating the application’s terms of service. So while you can use unsupported third-party applications to take care of the business, it’s not desirable. The latest update will do away with the requirement for a workaround, but there’s no announcement on when it might go live just though.

WhatsApp is also running on end-to-end encryption for reserves. The innovation is currently under construction and will offer the added safety of password security. If you opt for end-to-end encrypted reserves, you will set up a password used in future reserves. You will be able to change the password or impair the feature in the application settings.

WABetaInfo records that the password is private and will not be shared with WhatsApp or parent organization Facebook, but emphasizes that if you miss or forget your password, “WhatsApp cannot support you to restore an encrypted end-to-end reserve” without it. That sounds like a moderately dire state of things, but if you get yourself in that position, you’ll create a recovery key, so there is no want to panic.

There’s no timeline when this characteristic might report, only that updated Android and iOS integration will be appearing as part of WhatsApp’s ongoing engagement to better multi-device help. All we can do is wait and sign up for the WhatsApp beta program on both Google Play and Apple’s Test Flight

Unhappily, the iOS beta program is complete now, so you will require to keep examining back to discuss whether any space opens up — the Android version does not appear to have that obstacle. Either method, we will arrive back when we have any further information about the update.
