UAF Okays the recommendations of Rs 11,319.41 million budget. University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s Finance and Planning Committee meeting has okayed the recommendations of  Rs  11,319.41 million budget for the financial year 2022-23 that will be presented before the Syndicate and Senate for the approval.

The meeting of the committee was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan while Treasurer Umar Saeed Qadri presented the agenda.

As per details, the meeting gave nod to the recommendations including Rs 6,991.26 non-development budget; Rs 1,142.717 development (federal government-funded); Rs 606.727 million development (Punjab government-funded); 2,230 million competitive research grant; Rs 241.378 million non-development budget Punjab Govt ( Burewala – Vehari).

Rs 44.741 million for the Water Management Research Center, Rs 26.325 million Directorate of Financial Assistance and University Advancement; and Rs 36.5 million for the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization;  to present before the Syndicate.

UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that UAF will set up its own Rs 1.5 Mega Watt solar plant in order to lower the electricity expense and promote green energy.

He said that for the first time in the history of the varsity, we are generating 60% from our own resources.

He stressed upon the scientists to come up with more valuable research works keeping the agricultural issues and farming community problems in view. 

He said that the university was providing scholarships to 25 percent of the students to continue their journey of education and progress.
