Spotify, a widely used application, is new. Now, music lovers can change the music without using their hands, thanks to the “Hey Spotify” hands-free option. New options have started rolling out, and some users have accepted them, but unfortunately, I am not one of the lucky users, so I will rely on the shared experience of those who got this new feature. As reported by GSMarena, after initially opening the Spotify application, users will receive a notification outlining the steps to activate this feature.

By tapping on this feature, users will be directed to a new screen, asking them to activate “Hey Spotify.” By permitting this feature, users will be able to use the built-in voice search while the Spotify app runs on a mobile device.
Many will be confused about the app’s privacy policy, as this new option ensures that Spotify is listening to us at all times. However, Spotify’s privacy policy provides that the company only records and transcribes searches performed after tapping the voice button. Also, the Spotify Voice Command feature for premium users launch in 2019.
So the feature that the application includes is hands-free use in the app. However, since this feature copy from Google and Apple Assistant, which is activated with “Hey Google” and “Hey Siri” commands, I don’t understand why people would use Spotify to do the same thing on Android and iOS. Spotify seems confident that users will use its voice command feature and enjoy hands-free mode, but only time will tell.
