Samsung has released a list of supported devices for the new Android 12 version – less than a month after the launch of Google’s Pixel phones – and phone models receiving the new update along with a schedule for when it would be available for other devices.
Android 12 has exclusive design changes made for Google Pixel phones. The new version will give Samsung widgets rounded corners and incorporates a new design language. It also has dynamic colors, which pull colors from users’ wallpapers and apply to them system accents and apps.
Additionally, Android 12 has a number of privacy enhancements and indicators that will show when the microphone and camera are in use, even in the background.
It will also allow users to share their inaccurate location with other apps, instead of a precise one. Privacy Dashboards in Settings let users see which apps are using sensitive permissions.

If you don’t see your Samsung device on this list, it’s probably not getting the update. Samsung flagships released in or after 2019 will get three major updates and four years of security patches.
On the other hand, mid-range devices will probably get two years of updates, and the recently released lower mid-range devices will get one update. For example, the Galaxy M31s was released with Android 10. Recently, it received the Android 11 update and might also get Android 12.
Bear in mind that Samsung is yet to confirm which devices will be updated to Android 12. All the devices on this list are “expected” to get the update. A few weeks ago, SamMobile reported that One UI 4.0 beta for the S21 series is coming soon.
